“We wanted to come up two years ago but we had to cancel because of COVID, so we’re really looking forward to coming up there,” events co-ordinator Tony Borg said.
“We’ve got a great bunch of people coming up and they enjoy showing off their cars.”
The 14-car troupe will head up from Melbourne on the Friday before being joined by some of the club’s local members in the twin towns.
They’ll take in the sights of Echuca-Moama and enjoy a paddle-steamer cruise on the Murray River, before setting up their car display on the Sunday.
“We’ll have a wide variety of Mustangs from the earlier classics, so 1964 and a half, ’65 and ’66 models, right through to current day,” Tony said.
“We’re also open to anyone in the local area bringing along their Mustangs; you don’t have to be a member of the club to bring your Mustang, we’re happy to look at anyone else’s.
“It doesn’t matter what you’ve got, you’re welcome to come along and you don’t have to be there for the whole time either.”
Swing by Murray Esplanade from 10am to 2pm on Sunday, November 6 to take a look and find out some more about the iconic cars.
“There will be members around and we’ll be in our club shirts so we’ll be noticeable,” Tony said.
