IT'S beginning to look a lot like Christmas around Campaspe Shire as council has decked the collective halls for the festive season.
Mayor Adrian Weston said council had been working with community and business groups to create and install decorations in the lead up to Christmas.
“Working closely with the community ensures each town is decorated the way residents would like it done,” Cr Weston said.
In Tongala, the Christmas murals and wishing tree will once again make an appearance in the main street with the addition of a 3D stack of presents.
Echuca Moama Business & Trades and Kyabram Chamber of Commerce are working with local organisations to create a ‘selfie station’ that will encourage customers to stop and enjoy the space while shopping in their local CBD.
“The festive season is a wonderful time of year, and it’s great to see residents out and about celebrating,” Cr Weston said.
Decorations will be installed by early December and will be taken down in the New Year.
