Toc. hands Tigers first loss of 2019

Saturday brought a back-to-back clean sweep for the Bloods’ netballers when Tocumwal hosted Katamatite for round nine of the Picola & District League.

The Bloods’ A grade girls made a comeback late in the game to take the points from the previously undefeated Tigers.

Final score, Tocumwal 42 to Katamatite 39.

Awards: Sarah Quick and Abby Wilson.

Tocumwal’s B grade earned themselves a smashing win from their relentless defensive pressure.

Final score, Tocumwal 63 to Katamatite 20.

Awards: Olivia Volpe and Jacinta Brunskill.

The C grade Bloods once again came together strong on the court to take a nine goal win.

Final score, Tocumwal 37 to Katamatite 28.

Awards: Melissa Herezo and Cally Baldwin.

Toc’s C reserve had a comfortable win over their Tiger counterparts.

Final score, Tocumwal 25 to Katamatite 18.

Awards: Tenaya Humphries and Sarah Gillespie.

Defensive pressure from the Under 15s saw the Bloods continue their three game winning streak with their 20 goal victory.

Final score, Tocumwal 41 to Katamatite 21. Awards: Asha Campbell, Skyla Griffin and Tamika Mosman.

The U13s Bloods dominated the court with their set plays and teamwork, keeping the young Tigers goalless at the final whistle.

Final score, Tocumwal 40 to Katamatite 0. Awards: Kate Purtill, Tahlia Pate and Jessica Bennett.

The U11s Bloods also had great flow of the ball down the court.
