It includes changing its name to ‘Finley for the future’.
It will hold four monthly meetings, to which chamber will invite all local community groups to bring forward their ideas and events.
Chamber is expected to still represent businesses and also continue to host events including the Finley Xmas Xtravaganza.
The changes will be explained at next week’s annual general meeting.
Chamber president Gary Carr said the business oriented group is not going into recess.
‘‘That’s is absolutely not true, we’re just making changes that are more appealing to local people.
‘‘We’ll invite delegates from Lions, Rotary, park committees, museum committee etcetera and it makes it easier to share ideas and updates.
‘‘This should give us clear focus on how we promote the town and support other groups.
‘‘We’ll have a better idea of how the meeting will run and our plans for the future at the AGM,’’ Mr Carr said.
Member for Murray Helen Dalton is the guest speaker at this year’s AGM.
It will be held at the Finley Golf Club on Tuesday June 25, 6.30pm at $35 per person.
All community minded people are invited to attend and can express interest in joining Finley for the Future. RSVP by June 20.
