Barooga Public School will soon get a technology boost in the classroom after receiving a $9,311 grant.
The school has been using iPads for some years and have found them to be an invaluable teaching and learning tool.
The grant will allow the school to purchase another 18 iPads, and some of the older ones will be retired.
Barooga Public School principal John Francis said incorporating technology into the day-to-day learning in the classrooms was important.
He said a number of the iPads currently being used were unable to use some of the newer apps designed for classroom teaching and learning activities.
‘‘Digital technologies are an increasing part of the world these students inhabit. Technology used the right way can enhance school students’ learning experience,’’ Mr Francis said.
