Two new faces at the Public School

Miss Fay previously taught at the 45 student Moulamein Public School before moving to be with her partner David.

She started two weeks ago and said she was looking forward to the year ahead.

‘‘It’s going really well. It does have its challenges as Berrigan Public is a bigger school compared to Moulamein, where I taught K/1/2.

‘‘I knew the Berrigan School principal Tanya (Sarakin), spoke with her and was able to get a position.

‘‘There are a lot of changes for me but the staff here are excellent; they’ve been supportive and welcoming.

‘‘I’ve been teaching for three years and previously worked in public relations in Melbourne,’’ Miss Fay said.

SLSO Miss Macartney will assist students with cerebral palsy and spend most her time in Venita Bacchetto’s classroom. She previously taught at Mulwala Public School.

‘‘Although there are challenges to the job it is very rewarding,’’ Miss Macartney said.
