Berrigan local Laurie Thompson is opening his garden to the community to come along and admire.
In conjunction with the Berrigan Community Garden, Mr Thompson’s garden will be open on Sunday from 10.30am.
The community can explore Mr Thompson’s garden which has been described as ‘‘like walking through different rooms of a house’’.
But the day will also provide an opportunity to learn more about the Berrigan Community Garden.
Please note that due to the fragility of Mr Thompson’s garden no children or pets are allowed.
The garden group is starting to grow in numbers and their vegetable patch at the back of the swimming pool is coming along nicely.
The Berrigan Community Garden recently installed an arbour and will have trombone zucchini and purple climbing beans eventually growing over it.
Recently the gardeners received a parcel from Green Harvest Organic Gardening Supplies, congratulating them on receiving the offer of low germination seeds.
Check out Mr Thompson’s garden from 10.30am to 2pm at 29 Corcoran Street Berrigan. Entry cost $5 and includes morning tea, all proceeds will go to the group.
