The Rams’ A-grade netballers looked confident against Cobram and were strong over the four quarters.
Even though the score was a one-sided affair, the contest to the ball was certainly physical and competitive.
Smooth transitions and patience to re-set the ball allowed the Rams to power ahead in a 22-1 goal second quarter.
Ella Harvey showed versatility, moving from the shooting circle into the mid court, and was able to drive and re-offer with her agility and speed.
Elle Panton’s defensive display meant a missed shot to the opposition was pounced upon, with two hands to every rebound followed by her leading the transition of the ball into attack.
The entire team powered ahead until the final whistle, when they were rewarded with the comfortable win.

It was a little chilly on the court, but it was so nice to have our full team together again.
The team has been working really hard over on keeping the court open and driving into the open spaces created by that. It was so pleasing to watch this at work.
Although the win came from a full team effort, major contributors were Phoebe Jefferies in defence, the versatile Ava Robinson from the mid-court into the shooting circle and Kate Westcott who, like Robinson, showed she can contribute from any position.
