Flippa will be participating in The Push for Better Foundation's push up challenge, which requires him to complete 3046 push-ups while completing daily challenges set by the foundation.
The specific number of push-ups is directly correlated to the exact number of men's suicides in 2018 when the challenge first started.
The challenge also aims to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
The foundation's goal is to help reduce the number of Australian lives being lost to suicide by increasing awareness of mental ill health in the community and raising funds for Headspace.
“I saw the challenge pop up on Facebook a couple of times and thought it was something I can do to keep fit while all gyms and sport clubs are closed,” Flippa said.
“It is a chance that I can stay active at home during the mongrel month of May whilst raising a bit of money and awareness.
“The challenge starts on May 11 and runs for 21 days, each day the challenge gives you a specific goal of push-ups to reach.
“While you can't go ahead in the challenge, you can catch up if you miss your targets on certain days, I think 150 a day is do-able but we will see what goals they set.
“It's for a good cause and I'm ready for the challenge.”
