They will play Katamatite on Saturday at the Finley Recreation Reserve.
“We’re keen to go back to back,” president Matt Whitty said.
“After a rough couple of years, our club is happy to be at a competitive level.
“Last season was really competitive and all the senior members enjoyed their cricket.
“So far this preseason we’ve had the biggest turnout to training so you can tell there’s some excitement back in the club for the coming season.
“We’re hoping to build on last year’s performance and retain the title, but our club also places a great deal of importance on development and will be hoping to get some young players through the senior sides this season.”
There are only a few changes being made internally this season with two new committee members and a new captain being named.
The club’s new vice president is Russell Anderson, replacing Cam Isedale, and the new secretary is Jinette Graham.
Cougar McGrath was named the Division One captain and Division Two skipper is Ryan Donkin.
Finley’s only new member to the playing squad this season is Southern Riverina News journalist, Dan Hughes.
