Game lovers will converge on the Shepparton region this weekend for the board game convention known as ShepparCon.
The annual event is in its third year and aims to bring board game enthusiasts together to share in the love of their hobby.
Goulburn Valley Gamers Guild director and an event organiser Giles Pritchard said it was extremely inclusive and everyone was welcome to attend.
‘‘ShepparCon prides itself to be an inclusive family friendly event and is open to families, friends, and anyone who loves to play board and card games,’’ Mr Pritchard said.
Gamers will have the opportunity to choose from three libraries of games that will be stocked with more than 100 different games.
The three-day event will include children’s workshops, lucky door prizes, trivia games and a pop-up store to buy gaming products.
Inspiring board game designers and producers will also have the opportunity to take part in a Protospiel session.
Mr Pritchard said the session would allow game designers to share their ideas with other gamers.
‘‘People will be able to have their games tested and then other gamers can discuss and give feedback on it,’’ he said.
More than 150 people are expected to attend the event.
ShepparCon is a ticketed event and will be at the Goulburn Valley Hotel from the Friday to Sunday.
