Social gatherings, school and work environments have all been impacted due to the Coronavirus restrictions.
It has resulted in the Federal Government asking residents to work from home and for parents to make a decision whether or not to send their children to school.
Owner of Tocumwal Trigger Performance and parent of two children, Haynes is aware of the difficulties of facing self isolation but said staying physically active can help in many ways.
‘‘It’s really important to stay active for both physical and mental reasons,’’ he said.
‘‘We face a time with lots of unknowns but the best thing we can do is stay active.
‘‘Being inside or at home presents an opportunity to do something different.
‘‘Take moments during the day to do five star jumps or throw the ball with the dogs a little more.
‘‘It’s easy for us to be negative but it’s an opportunity to do things different, it might even mean doing a bit more outside gardening, moving pots around that will make a big difference. You can even throw on some music and strike up a 30 second dance party with your kids to get everyone moving around and smiling.’’
As a company, Trigger Performance also loaned out most of its equipment to encourage its members to stay active during this period.
‘‘We virtually have an empty gym at the moment which is really good to see,’’ Haynes said.
‘‘First and foremost we want to take care of our members. We take a glass is refillable perspective; some might see isolation as a bad thing, but any back yard can be a massive playground. We’re also going to offer online programs to our members and if needed, extend the offer throughout the community.’’
