The group recently donated $2,755.87 to FRC, with the bulk ($2000) going toward training.
FRC CEO Ben Levesque gratefully received the funding, saying it will go a long way to contributing to the better care of the community.
"We are very appreciative of the Finley Community Group for its annual donation, which allows Finley Regional Care to provide ongoing outings for our residents and clients, and also specialist education in the way of palliative care for our staff," he said.
"Both are important aspects of the care we provide here at Finley Regional Care and out in the community."
FCHG volunteer Gwen James said the group is pleased it can assist the community in this way.
"Alongside our annual donation to the FRC, we also make contributions each year to the three schools in Finley," she said.
"Each one of our donations goes directly into community groups, giving much needed financial support."
The FCHG raises funds through a second hand shop in Finley. The shop is open from 9am to 1pm Wednesdays, 9am to 2pm Thursdays, 9am to 4pm Fridays and 9am to noon on Saturdays.
