On Saturday we had a practice match against East Shepparton and in blustery conditions it was a true test of skills. East Shepparton won the Johnson Family Shield for the first time by a few shots and as Barry Johnson said when handing the shield over to his son from East Shepparton: "We had a few good players out and will be back next year to bring it home again." The day was played in good spirit and I think everyone enjoyed the day.
Last Monday the first round of 100-up was played for the ladies section.
Rain delayed play for just more than 30 minutes. After thanking everyone for coming and cancelling the day, the rain stopped and the players bravely agreed to play their games in cold conditions. Thank you to the markers. A reminder that the next round of 100-up must be completed by Saturday and players must arrange their own markers. Scorecards to be signed and left on the board.
