While there was no win, the endeavour was “tip top”.
The wind was strong at the highway end of the oval, we were against it the first quarter.

The defence remained strong, although mismatched with height throughout the field.
Matty Hay was best on, with a goal that brought the house down.
His determination for the footy was somewhat of AFL standard.
The Dudley brothers showed some real character also, with Sam down the back line for the first time.
They showed huge improvement today resulting in two more best ons.
Chris Hovenden (who was captain for the day) performed well down back, and even with a hamstring injury late in the first half didn’t drop his head.
Kynan Mckenzie was another a best on.
A slight calf strain first five minutes didn’t stop him getting in the guts and showing the younger boys how it’s done.
