Berrigan’s A grade fell by two goals when they travelled to close neighbour Rennie in round 10 of the Picola Netball League on Saturday.
It was the first time the two clubs have played each other, and it was a game where the lead changed at many stages.
The Saints had plenty of the ball and made good use of it but failed to keep their composure in the dying stages of the game.
With a five goal lead with four minutes to go the Saints couldn’t hold possession resulting in easy turnovers for the home side.
Despite this it was a fantastic defensive game from the Saints, with the attack pulling together quite nicely.
Final score, Rennie 41 to Berrigan 39.

The Saints B grade side couldn’t overcome the Hoppers in a fast paced match.
Trailing by 11 at the main break Berrigan coach Nat Ferguson made some key positional changes going into the third and the Saints clawed their way back to within a couple of goals.
Unfortunately it wasn’t enough in the end, the Saints falling seven goals short.
Final score, Rennie 48 to Berrigan 41.

The C grade Saints had a fabulous game scoring a well deserved seven goal win.
Final score, Berrigan 42 to Rennie 35.

Berrigan’s C reserve side had a hard fought contest that came down to the wire.
The Saints put up a great fight and were unlucky to not come away with the win.
Final score, Rennie 30 to Berrigan 25.

Under 17s: Rennie 49 to Berrigan 18.
Berrigan’s Under 15s mixed up the positions this week and each player put in a terrific effort against a very slick and polished Rennie outfit.
The Saints’ teamwork is impressive and improving every week.
Final score, Rennie 55 to Berrigan 9.
Against a tall and extremely well oiled Rennie side Berrigan’s Under 13s showed plenty of spirit and sportsmanship.
Final score, Rennie 54 to Berrigan 9.
