The Country Club Hotel in Finley has a new look, new managers and is now open for business and ready to serve you freshly cooked meals and icy cold drinks.
The hotel re-opened in late March and is already proving popular with locals and visitors alike.
Managing the venue is Rick and Debbie Shaw, who made the move from Melbourne to manage the Country Club Hotel.
‘‘It’s an exciting time for Finley,’’ Debbie said.
‘‘This is an historic venue and we want to do it proud.
‘‘We’re interested in what’s going on in our local area and would like to be involved where we can supporting our local community.
‘‘Our patrons will feel relaxed in the comfortable decor of the venue and I’m confident they will enjoy a hearty meal from the kitchen.
‘‘We will try our best to ensure the customer enjoys a unique experience every time they walk through the door.’’
Changes to the interior of the hotel make it clear you’re entering a modern country pub as soon as you walk in the door.
The area formerly used as a bistro is now a relaxing dining room, or you can take a seat at the bar and enjoy a cold drink.
Even in winter the outdoor beer garden is the perfect place to relax in the afternoon after a long day at work, and with heaters to soon be added to the area it will be even more accommodating.
Invite your friends and family to stay in Finley, where they can take advantage of the eleven comfortable rooms available at the rear of the venue.
The Country Club Hotel is locally owned by John Hawkins and Deb and Jim Jewell, and the venue’s support of the local area is already evident.
Most of the food used in the chef-prepared meals is sourced through local or regional suppliers, and staff working at the hotel and undertaking the renovations were all sourced locally, too.
The Country Club Hotel is located at 167-177 Murray St, Finley and is open six days a week — from Monday to Saturday. Call to book a table on 58834997.
