An undermanned Berrigan A grade tried their hardest but Blighty were simply too strong in round seven of the Picola & District League on Saturday.

It was a massive turnaround from previous weeks by the Saints, who played with plenty of flow and great passages of play.

Final score, Blighty 50 to Berrigan 39.

A brilliant display of B grade netball in an extremely close game by the Saints wasn’t enough to come away with the win.

Some changes were made to adapt to the opposition and it worked for the majority of the game.

Final score, Blighty 35 to Berrigan 33.

It was a tough game for Berrigan’s C grade on Saturday but to their credit they persevered and kept their composure in a competitive game.

Final score, Blighty 38 to Berrigan 25.

The Saints struggled in C reserve, going down by 37 goals.

Despite the heavy loss it was a great second half of netball for the Saints, testing a few new positions and never giving up.

Well done to Bel Taylor who gave her all in the goal ring.

Final score, Blighty 48 to Berrigan 11.

Awards: Belinda Taylor and Ellis Hamilton.

It was a hard fought game in the under 17s with plenty of second efforts for the ball paying off in the end.

The entire side worked well as a team to pick up a good win.

Final score, Berrigan 38 to Blighty 29.

A very hard game for the Saints U15s side saw them suffer a heavy loss.

Berrigan showed plenty of determination for the ball however and were a united team against a polished Blighty outfit.

Final score, Blighty 47 to Berrigan 16.

It was a fantastic effort by the U13s Saints despite going down by 33 goals.

As they do each week, the Saints displayed a lot of determination and they continue to improve in all areas.

Great team work and consistency against a well developed Blighty side was also a highlight.

Final score, Blighty 41 to Berrigan 8.
