KPW Lawyers principal Kathryn Hall (pictured) says the theme of 2018 National Law Week — Law and Justice in your community — is extremely relevant in our regional communities.

One of the key issues within that theme, according to Mrs Hall, is family law.

During National Law Week this week, Mrs Hall encourages community members to particularly familiarise themselves with laws associated with domestic and family violence and to seek advice if required.

‘‘Domestic and family violence effects the whole community, including workplaces,’’ Mrs Hall said.

‘‘Everyone should be sure they know how to manage the effects of that violence when it comes into the workplace.

‘‘At KPW Lawyers we can assist families when marriages break down.

‘‘We represent families from as far as Leeton to Yarrawonga and Albury, hoping to bridge the distance from their doorstep to the Children’s and Family courts in Shepparton, Albury, Wagga, Canberra and Melbourne.

‘‘You can have a familiar face with you all the way during what can be a stressful process.’’

The team at KPW includes Mrs Hall and fellow lawyer Fiona Chartres, graduate lawyers Cassie Mallett and Courtney Murray and senior law clerks Kellie Richmond, Lena Birtie and Anna Cuic.

KPL Lawyers’ Deniliquin office is located at 50 Hardinge St.
