Berrigan Shire is calling on residents in Berrigan and Barooga to have their say on their respective town’s master plan.
Over the past 18 months the shire has been working on the master plans with the consultation of individuals, local business owners, Barooga Advancement Group and Berrigan and District Development Association.
The plans have prioritised five projects to improve the general streetscape of each town.
This includes town entry signs, tree planting, providing truck rest stops, upgrades to parks in Berrigan, foreshore and Vermont St developments in Barooga, and building more footpaths in Berrigan.
‘‘Comments are open to the shire, not just Berrigan and Barooga residents but we prefer to have more feedback from those areas,’’ shire general manager Rowan Perkins said.
Residents who wish to comment on the master plans are asked to write, email or fax the shire.
The master plans will be voted on by the council at the June ordinary meeting and can be viewed on the Berrigan Shire website or at council offices until May 29.
