Labor launches Farrer campaign

Kieran Dabsch launched his campaign for the Federal seat of Farrer in Deniliquin on Sunday, with the help of Duty Senator Deborah O’Neill.

Kieran Dabsch launched his campaign for the Federal seat of Farrer in Deniliquin on Sunday, with the help of Duty Senator Deborah O’Neill.

Joined by party faithful at the Deniliquin RSL Club, Mr Dabsch used the opportunity to proclaim that Labor will focus on restoring the Murray-Darling Basin, fight for local jobs and deliver more investment in local schools and hospitals ahead of next year’s election.

‘‘I am determined to deliver for our community,’’ he said.

‘‘I will fight for more investment in our local schools, greater public funding to secure jobs in agriculture and industry, adequate funding of our health system and I will protect local farmers by ending water theft and restoring sustainable water management to the Murray-Darling Basin.

‘‘Our community is in dire need for real leadership in Canberra and I am committed to stand up for country New South Wales first if I am elected.’’

Senator O’Neill joined Mr Dabsch for the launch,congratulating the Labor candidate on his pre-selection.

‘‘Kieran Dabsch has dedicated his life to teaching children in our local public school system and fighting for more resources for our public and catholic schools,’’ she said.

‘‘He understands the challenges faced by many families in Farrer and I know he will be an excellent representative for this region.’’
