Remembering our ANZACs

Anzac Day services will be held in each of the Southern Riverina’s four main towns next Wednesday, giving you the opportunity to commemorate the fallen and returned service men and women.

Anzac Day services will be held in each of the Southern Riverina’s four main towns next Wednesday, giving you the opportunity to commemorate the fallen and returned service men and women.

Service times and locations are as follows:

Berrigan

●9am – March will start at the Post Office at the corner of Chanter St and Jerilderie Sts (please congregate at 8.50am). March to travel down Chanter St to the Berrigan War Memorial Hall for the raising/lowering of the flag. Service to follow (inside the hall if weather inclement).

Finley

● 6am – Dawn Service, followed by ‘gold coin donation’ breakfast, at Finley RSL.

●10.40am – Murray St march will be followed by an 11am service at Memorial Park. Please assemble at the corner of Ulupna and Murray Sts.

Jerilderie

●6am – Dawn Service at the Jerilderie Cenotaph followed by a free breakfast.

●10am – March begins outside of the pharmacy and concludes at Cenotaph. A commemorative service to follow at the hall adjacent to the Cenotaph.

Tocumwal

●10.50am – March starts at 10.50am but please assemble 10.45am at the ‘Tree of Knowledge’ outside the newsagency. The march will conclude at the Tocumwal RSL Club for the traditional 11am commemorative ceremony.
