Market back with movie

January 03, 2018

The popular Tocumwal Foreshore Markets are on again for a special twilight event this Saturday, January 6.

Adding to the atmosphere will be a free pop-up cinema which will screen the family movie ‘The Baby Boss’ at the end of the markets.

Tocumwal Foreshore Markets president Bob Bowman said the twilight event is for tourists and locals to enjoy, especially with the free outdoor movie screening.

‘‘Many people go away over Christmas and may have missed Saturday’s market, so they still have a chance to experience it this weekend.

‘‘We’ve done this in the past and it’s always a great market to attend, mainly because it’s late afternoon and there’s a holiday atmosphere about it.

‘‘The markets always have something for everyone, young and old. And don’t worry about the hot weather, we have plenty of stalls serving cold drinks and ice cream.

‘‘After you do your shopping, sit back and relax with the family and watch a very funny film together,’’ Mr Bowman said.

Some of the market stalls include local food and wine, arts and crafts, gardening supplies, designer clothing, jewellery, fishing gear, sporting goods, second hand books, and henna tattoos.

The twilight markets start at 4.30pm and the movie starts at 8.45pm.

Anyone who wants to set up a market stall for this Saturday can contact Mr Bowman on 0428627538.

Dogs are strictly not permitted at the markets.
