The year ended with a couple of farewells to well-known local people moving to a new chapter in their lives.
Trevor and Narelle Basset and their children have moved to Swan Hill, and Wil Hamilton will be taking up residence in Wangaratta in the new year.
We wish them all every happiness in their new homes, and hope they will return from time to time to keep in touch with their Jerilderie friends.
Just a reminder that the Jerilderie library will re-open after Christmas, on Wednesday. January 3, 2018.
Healthy Hearts exercise classes (Tuesday and Friday mornings) will resume on Tuesday, January 2 at the Jerilderie Sporting Complex.

Jerilderie Public School presentation night was held on Wednesday, December 13.
A big crowd took advantage of the cool of the classrooms for the award presentations before enjoying a lovely barbecue tea in the shady school grounds.
Travis Lawton was named Dux of the School, and also received the John Monash award for outstanding personal achievement.

Jerilderie Lions Club members distributed Lions 2018 calendars before Christmas.
Most households in town should now have a copy, and businesses and out of town properties will receive their copies after Christmas.
