Berrigan Racecourse was the place to be on Saturday as thousands from across the Southern Riverina turned out for the annual Berrigan Gold Cup.
Racegoers baked in the sun as they enjoyed the six country races, and all the trackside action on offer.
The fashion conscious were in their element, and there was strong competition for the traditional and popular Fashions on the Field.
Berrigan District Race Club president Geoff Swann said it was another successful meeting for the club.
‘‘It was a highly successful day. We were blessed with good weather and the crowd was well behaved,’’ he said.
‘‘It was well attended. We haven’t counted the official numbers yet but we’re estimating over 3000 people.
