Finley, Jerilderie and Tocumwal’s Combined Under 16s recorded an opening round victory last Friday night.
The Cats were far too good for the Border Colts squad winning by 63 runs.
The 20/20 contest saw the Cats bat first and were well led by Clay Webb (35 retired not out) and Will Sexton (25) with the blade.
Ben Neessen (16) also made runs as the Cats posted a challenging 8/109 from their 20 overs.
An effective bowling performance followed, with the Colts unable to get close to the target.
Six wickets fell to six bowlers with Shadeau Brain the only slinger to snare a brace taking 2/6.
The Combine Cats travel to Katunga on Friday night for the first day of a two day fixture.
The Finley Under 14s fell short of victory against Jerilderie last weekend going down by just 13 runs.
The Demons set Finley 157 to win the contest and the Kittens got off to a great start through Ed Haynes (12) and Shadeau Brain (15).
The opening partnership of 28 set a good platform for the young side.
When both openers were dismissed, Archie Mason (41 retired not out) took up the challenge to the Demons with a superb middle order knock.
The young bat hit six fours on his way to retiring unbeaten and gave the Kittens a grand chance of victory.
The lower order battled away gamely to keep the contest interesting but some good closing bowling from the Demons ensured wickets continued to fall.
With two overs to bowl the Kittens were all out for 143.
The Kittens travel to Katunga on Saturday morning to start another two day fixture.
