The Finley thirds travelled to Nathalia on Saturday and recorded an emphatic 87 point victory in Murray Football League.
Dominating from the opening bounce, the young Cats were able to build on the momentum generated the previous round and boost their already healthy percentage.
Mathew Wilson was the outstanding player on the field and capped a superb performance with eight goals.
Taylor Kleinschmidt was another to continue his recent improvement and was supported at ground level by a host of fleet-footed small forwards.
Goals were shared around and a feature of the performance was the willingness of all players to share attacking opportunities.
Zec Cuppens and Dan O’Bryan feasted on the quality ruck work of Spencer Hawkins and were able to regularly break lines and link up with teammates further afield.
Liam Osborne was once again prominent as positional changes and rotations were maximised to give all players opportunities to show their wares.
As part of the split round, Finley do not play this weekend.
They will next play Echuca United at home on August 12.
