Berrigan Netball Club round 16 results

A grade: Berrigan worked hard and defeated Mathoura 59 to 37.

A great win in the end in a tough, physical contest, with the Saints getting the deserved result. Congratulations to Dana Karakai and Kayla Smith in their A grade debuts.

Awards: BNC 1st Incentive to Emma Jane Schifferle, BNC 2nd Incentive went to Laura Gorman and Wingates Sports Voucher to Dana Karakai.

B grade: Berrigan lost to Mathoura 13 to 65 in a tough game.

Well done to Emma Alexander and Kaila Luscombe playing their first B grade match, showing great potential and enthusiasm.

Thanks also to Judy Karakai for filling in and being a big help down the goal end.

Awards: BNC Incentive Award went to Annabelle Phillips, Blue Door Coffee & Cake to Jodie Hawes and, BNC Thursday Meal to Emma Alexander.

C grade: Berrigan defeated Mathoura comfortably in the end, 44 to 22.

After losing a rusty first quarter, the Saints turned it on in the second and took control of the game.

Jane Schifferle played an amazing WD game by giving the defensive end the drive through the mid-court and also backed up the attackers when they needed help.

Judy Karakai reached a rare milestone, shooting her 500th goal for the season.

Awards: Dash Cash Coffee & Cake went to Jane Schifferle, Phillips Family Award to Kylie Titlow and Players Player to Deb Sattler.

Under 15s: Another extremely tight match with Saints defeating Mathoura, 15 to 14.

Awards: Berrigan Takeaway Small Pizza went to Dana Karakai, Thornton Family Award to Charlie Cameron, BFC Canteen Award to Isabelle Alexander and Federal Parma to Jennah Maraldo.

U13s: Berrigan had a close win 19 to 16 against Mathoura, with some great passages of play.

A few too many turnovers resulting in Mathoura goals could have cost the Saints the game, but the girls stayed positive and managed to stay in front all day.

Awards: Berrigan IGA Award to Keia Towler, BFC Powerade Award to Jessika Lawrenceson, BFNC Canteen to Shae Fennell and Fed Parma to Lucy Phillips.

U11s: Berrigan’ s youngest netballers worked hard against a strong and experienced Mathoura side, showing they are willing to always have a go.

Awards: Turner Family Award went to Tess Middleton, Berrigan Pharmacy Award to Lacy Turner and Bizzy Scissors went to Lara Willemson.
