Tocumwal 'A' fight back to beat Blighty

Three Bloods teams managed wins on Saturday when Blighty travelled to Tocumwal.

Toc. A grade fought hard to come back from five goals down at half time.

Final score, Tocumwal 39 to Blighty 37.

Awards: Millie Ferguson, Leah Pate and Jacq Davis.

B grade failed to match a much stronger Blighty side. Blighty 44 defeating Tocumwal 27.

Awards: Kristen Petersen, Liana B and Tamara Bate.

It was an unfortunate three goal loss for the C grade Bloods in what was a tight game throughout.

Final score, Blighty 39 to Tocumwal 36.

Awards: Amanda Reid, Jessica Bennett and Melissa Jones.

C reserve had the same final margin from their first meet with the Redeyes in round six, going down by seven goals.

Final score, Blighty 29 to Tocumwal 22.

Awards: Cheryl Mears, Bianca Bourke and Caity Bourke.

In junior matches, the Bloods’ Under 17s were too strong for the Redeyes, with Tocumwal 37 defeating Blighty 21.

Awards: Wynta Brain, Gracie Reid and Jessica Adams.

Toc’s U-15s once again showed their dominance against a determined Blighty. Final score, Tocumwal 42 to Blighty 20.

Awards: Sarah Gillespie, Sophi Bury, Holly Noonan and Maddison Howell.

The Bloods’ U-13s never gave up the fight against the ladder leaders, but it was Blighty 27 who defeated Tocumwal 15.

Skyla Griffin showed great leadership and Abby O’Connell was consistent in goals, with both taking home awards. Alana Sutton and Hayley Palmer also received awards.

In the U-11s, tremendous goals by Dylan Schwan and Tully Jones were scored.

Awards: Katya Eddy, Remmi Wardlaw, Jessica Bennett and Chloe Herezo.
