Jerilderie claimed their third win of the season in round 15 of the Picola League when they hosted Yarroweyah on Saturday.
It was the Demons first win on home soil for the year, downing the Hoppers by 26 points.
Jerilderie got away to a quick start with early goals, but Yarroweyah responded and the Demons went into the first break with a slender five point lead.
It was a disappointing second term with the Hoppers maintaining their pressure resulting in some undisciplined play by the Demons and a six point deficit.
Following a deserved blast from their coach at half time, the Demons came out and slammed on four quick goals to take back the lead in the third quarter.
Jerilderie took their foot off the pedal towards the end of the quarter, letting the Hoppers back in the game, with just two goals separating the two sides.
The Demons held on strong in the last, kicking four goals to two to run out the victors.
James Gilligan gave his all trying to lift the team, while Aaron Purcell was giving his team mates first use of the ball in the ruck.
Bobby Arnold had a great game and Chris Marshall played his usual hard at the ball game.
James McRae and Jordan Jefferies controlled the backline in solid performances.
For Yarroweyah it was Harley Constable (two goals) and Andrew Jones (three) who were best, with good contributions from playing coach Paul Massingham, Joe Cipriani, Nick Macheda and Cameron Isedale.
Final score, Jerilderie 15.12 (102) to Yarroweyah 11.10 (76).
The Demons will have a tough road trip against the Deni Rovers at Memorial Park on Saturday.
It will be somewhat of a homecoming for Gilligan, who made the switch from the Roos during the off-season.
