Developing problem solving skills in our children

July 26, 2017

Finley Public School aims to provide stimulating, supportive, safe and inclusive learning opportunities for all our students, with Tournament of Minds playing a key role within the school.

Tournament of the Minds is a problem-solving program for teams of students across primary and secondary years.

Students are challenged with open-ended problems across a variety of disciplines, competing against other schools.

This program looks beyond academic achievement with other benefits including problem-solving, interpreting, creative thinking and thinking outside the square and the use of technology.

These are all skills that will help students as they grow.

Our first competition for the year is fast approaching and is set for the end of August.
