Jerilderie forward Jordan Anthony lived out a footballing dream bringing up 100 goals for the season in the thirds on Saturday.
The 16 year-old smashed his way to the century of goals with his sixth goal of the game in the first quarter against Yarroweyah.
Anthony went on to kick another eight for the game following the milestone.
‘‘It was an amazing feeling to put that 100th goal through,’’ he said.
‘‘I just love playing footy with my mates and to be able to achieve that with them on the field with me was just awesome.
‘‘Kicking 100 wasn’t even in my mind a few weeks ago, but I managed to kick 16 against Blighty to be just six goals away from it.
‘‘It’s something I’ll never forget and hopefully I can add a premiership medal to go along with the goalkicking trophy.’’
The Jerilderie thirds are in a fantastic position to take out the premiership flag, so far being undefeated and on top of the ladder.
‘‘I won a flag in 2010 in the fourths,’’ he said.
‘‘There’s no better feeling than sharing that with your mates, so hopefully we can continue the form all the way through to a grand final win.’’
