Smith leads accumulator

Round four of the accumulator on Sunday attracted 16 players.

Winners were Marie Koschel and Bob Ryan, with +9 shots.

This event is to be held over seven playing days with the players’ best five game scores to be considered for the trophies.

Billy Smith is a narrow leader from Ron Pentland at this stage, but there are many close to them.

Thursday was not a pleasant day but this did not prevent Ash Haines and Alan Cowan from having a good win.

Players are taking advantage of playing at the RS on Tuesdays. Last week, Heather and Graham Chubb formed the winning combination.

All members and the general public are asked to support the Yallambee fundraising evening on Friday.

Meals are available from 6.30pm.

This organisation needs support to provide new equipment and update some facilities.

There has been a good response to date for the Chaplin Pairs on Sunday, August 20, which carries prizemoney of $1000.

This day is in recognition of the contribution to bowls by Mick and Elaine Chaplin.

Members are reminded that subs are due for payment.

The members draw is still resting on $1000 and awaiting a lucky winner.

The annual meeting will be held tonight, starting at 7pm. All members are invited to attend.

Bowls will be held tomorrow at 1pm and again on Sunday.
