Birthday wishes are extended to Marjorie Ryan who turned 100 on Monday.
Marjorie is a resident at the Berrigan Multi Purpose Service, and her daughter Marilla said it’s a wonderful achievement to reach 100 in this day and age.
Marjorie has seven children, 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
The community wishes Marjorie a big happy birthday.
The Berrigan Cricket Club will be holding a special Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, July 28 at the Federal Hotel at 7.30pm.
Everyone is welcome and support is needed if people want the club to continue.
All positions are open and the club is financial.
A meeting was held on July 6 however no positions were filled on the committee.
The club has strong junior numbers and it would be great to see as many parents, supporters and players from all grades at the meeting.
The RSL Sub-branch will hold a street stall tomorrow and raffle a load of wood. They will also be having a sausage sizzle.
All welcome to come down to IGA, buy a ticket and have a sausage and a chat.
As part of the Berrigan Community Golf and Bowling Club de-amalgamation process, the community are encouraged to sign up as a social member for $10.
As part of the new entity, Berrigan Community Golf and Bowling Club, a minimum of 100 new members is needed for a meeting to be held in August to vote to de-amalgamate with Barooga Sporties.

This Saturday the Berrigan Saints take on Deni Rovers at Berrigan.
It will be a big game for the seniors as finals are approaching and the boys are just hanging on to fifth spot with Deni Rovers right on their heels.
After the game the committee will hold a Goods and Services night. A meal will be provided, with drinks available at bar prices. All welcome for a great night out.
The Bowling Club will be having a social day with Rand Bowls Club on Sunday, August 20.
A bus is being organised and the first 30 people to write their names on the list at the club will have a seat.

St Columba’s School will be running its very popular ‘Play to Learn’ program for all students starting kindergarten in 2018.
All children in the Berrigan and surrounding areas are welcome to attend.
The program will be held every Wednesday during terms three and four, beginning Wednesday, July 26 from 10.30am to 2pm. For more information contact Arlena Pyle on 58852428.
St Columba’s Church is celebrating its 50th year and this will be commemorated with mass on Friday at 9.30am. All welcome to attend.
On Sunday, mass will be held at 10.30am with the children leading the service. After mass, soup and bread will be served in the Nagle Centre. All welcome.
Congratulations to Joyce Whitney who celebrated a special birthday with family and friends yesterday. Her family travelled from near and far to be with her on her 90th birthday.
