Saints struggle against strong Bloods

A grade: Berrigan were defeated by Tocumwal 40-60 in Picola League on Saturday.

A tough hit-out against the undefeated top side.

The Saints started out with a lot of intensity and great passages of play for the first half but lost their momentum in the third term.

Awards: BNC 1st to Emily Ryan, BNC 2nd Incentive to Laura Wallis, Wingates Sports Voucher to Zoe Stephens and Players’ Player to Emily Ryan.

B grade: Berrigan lost to Tocumwal 14-36.

It was a different game this week with a lot of changes.

Fantastic effort by everyone, especially with the intercepts and rebounds by our defenders.

Awards: BNC Incentive Award to Jodie Hawes, Blue Door Coffee & Cake to Sarah Wallis and BNC Thursday Meal to Temica Fitzgerald.

C grade: Berrigan went down to Tocumwal 40-43.

The Saints found themselves down by six goals in the first quarter. A fantastic team effort saw them fight back and take the lead by one going into the final quarter.

For the first 12 minutes it was goal for goal, and with Tocumwal having a lucky last three minutes they took the points.

Awards: Dash Cash Coffee & Cake went to Joan Russell, Phillips Family Award to Deb Satler and Players Player Award to Judy Karaki.

U-15s: Berrigan were defeated by Tocumwal 13-44.

Well done to the Berrigan girls who had a great first quarter. Keep up the great work at training and it will pay off.

BFC Canteen Award went to Alyssa Thornton, Thornton Family Award to Olivia O’Neill and Federal Parma to Kaila Luscombe.

U-13s: Berrigan defeated Tocumwal 19-17.

A slow start to the game from Berrigan saw them down for three quarters.

Shae Fennell gave the girls a great lift in the second half to see Berrigan victorious over Tocumwal by two goals.

Consistent defence by Regan Fox and good mid court play by Keia Towler and Jessika Lawrenceson also helped to get Berrigan over the line.

IGA Award to Jessika Lawrenceson, BFNC Canteen Award to Keia Towler, BFC Powerade Award to Abby Litchfield and Fed Parma to Shae Fennell.

U-11s: Lots of talent and lots of energy from these up and coming Berrigan netballers.

The club looks forward to seeing a lot more of them on the court next year.

Well done also to a great team of Tocumwal girls who are great throughout the whole court.

Turner Family Award went to Maddie Rice, Berrigan Pharmacy Award to Grace Cameron and Bizzy Scissors went to Lillianna MeyerVale.
