Historic: A number of older-style cars at last year's Tocumwal Winter Swap Meet and Show'n'Shine.

There will be plenty of shine and colour to brighten up winter at this Sunday’s Tocumwal Winter Swap Meet and Show ‘n’ Shine.

This will be the eighth time the event has been held, with more than 1000 people through the gates in each previous year.

Presented by Mild 2 Wild Rod and Custom, the event will feature more than 120 different vehicles, including cars, trucks and motorcycles.

One of the event organisers, Eric Finch, says there will be nine different category prizes, including five people’s choice prizes, three for bikes and one for the trucks section.

To warm people up, Mr Finch says the Rotary Club will be cooking bacon and egg rolls, and the event is fully catered.

‘‘There will also be a few bonfires for people to warm up,’’ he said.

‘‘There’s usually not much happening on a cold winter’s day, so we encourage everyone to come down for some entertainment.’’

The event will be held at the Tocumwal Football Grounds. Gates open at 6am for site holders, and 7am for the general public.

Sites are $15, public entry is $5 and car entry is $5, including a driver.

To book a site or for more information, phone Eric on 0427352171.
