119km/h in a 50km/h zone

A 19 year-old Barooga man was arrested for driving at a dangerous speed on Thursday morning.

Police allege they clocked the man driving at 119km/h in a 50km/h zone on Golf Course Rd about 7am.

Police were called to the area after complaints from residents, and say they could clearly hear the loud and fast revving of the car’s engine before it came into sight.

The driver’s Provisional 2 (green Ps) licence was suspended on the spot.

He was charged with drive speed dangerous and P2 exceed speed by more than 45km/h.

The man was given a notice to appear in Finley Local Court on July 21.
