Tocumwal Sacred Heart Primary School students showed off their acting skills with a performance of ‘The Frog Prince’ last Wednesday.
About 80 people attended the matinee, with another 90 at the main production that evening.
A drama with a twist of comedy, it starred Percy Dines as The Frog Prince, Sarah Johnson as Queen Malicia and Tayah Hollister as Aurora.
Featuring plenty of dancing and singing, the performance was the result of weekly rehearsals during term two, and the audience was wowed by the extensive dialogue learnt by the students.
Mrs Helen Dickie was the mastermind behind the successful production, while Mrs Jill Petzke made sure the children looked their best in their costumes.
Principal Pat Boake also thanked Malcolm Dickie, who worked hard behind the scenes on the stage’s lighting, Donna Boaden for sharing her face painting skills, and Annie Johnson for organising the delicious supper.
