Bloods fourths down Dogs

Under 14s: With the exception of a scrappy second quarter, the young Bloods played some terrific team footy on Saturday against Strathmerton.

Doing the hard one percenters well and getting numbers to the contest were the highlights, backed up with some great ball use throughout the game.

Tom Barker (six goals), Zander Griffin, Harvey White (three), Bailey Mason (two) and Connor Crowley all went up a gear while Blair Eddy (two), Will Johnson, Chase Hardwidge and Kalle Stewart were solid contributors in another even team effort.

Finals score, Tocumwal 15.5 (95) to Strathmerton 0.2 (2).

Under 17s: Fantastic game from all the boys. They all played their part in what was a great team effort to get the win on Saturday.

Great games from Reilly Rennick, Jock Hatty and Jesse and Tom Barker.

The boys have been working hard on the training track and now they are getting the results.

Final score, Tocumwal 3.8 (26) to Strathmerton 1.5 (11).

Reserves: The Magoos headed into the game against one of the flag favourites and battled hard.

For the second game in a row the opposition got a significant jump kicking six goals in the first 13 minutes.

To their credit the Bloods outscored their more fancied opponents three goals to one in the second term with a more respectable 11 goals to three in the final three terms.

Best players were Paul Quick, Matt Wooden, Charlie Kelly, hard nut Tim Brunskill with Reece Hardwidge and Tom Whytcross also playing well.

Final score, Strathmerton 17.8 (110) to Tocumwal 3.1 (19).
