The Regional Explosive Ordnance Service was called to the Conargo area last week after a Conargo resident found a practice bomb on his property on Friday, May 5.
The newly relocated resident reportedly found the top half of an old aerial practice bomb in his shed.
The man sent photos of the severely corroded weapon to the NSW Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit, which then passed the matter on to the Regional Explosive Ordnance Service.
The service identified the weapon as a 5kg bomb used as practice by the military, and labelled it inactive as its bottom half was missing.
According to police, army officers from Albury attended to dispose of the bomb.
