Murrumbidgee Council has a fun day out planned for its younger residents, to celebrate National Youth Week.
National Youth Week is an important opportunity to celebrate the achievements, vitality and strength of young people 12-25 years, and to acknowledge their positive contribution to our communities.
To celebrate, Murrumbidgee Council has arranged a trip to Shepparton’s Go Jump indoor trampoline park on Saturday, April 1.
The trampoline park features four zones — a ‘free jump’ area with interconnecting trampolines, a ‘performance trampolines’ area which includes wall jump and olympic tramps, a ‘slam ball’ court and an ‘air bag’ zone for high jumps and soft landings.
Council general manager Craig Moffitt said the bus trip to Shepparton would be a great day out.
‘‘This is a fantastic opportunity for our youth to get together,’’ Mr Moffitt said.
‘‘It should be a lot of fun, and I encourage young people within our three towns to put their names down for the bus trip.
‘‘Youth Week is an opportunity for us to celebrate and acknowledge our region’s future leaders.”
A bus will depart from Darlington Point at 8am, Coleambally at 8.30am and Jerilderie at 9.30am.
Estimated return times start with drop off at Jerilderie about 4.30pm.
Put you name down at any of the council offices by this Friday, or call 1300676243 for more information.
